I'm searching for a 60 to 100 foot radio tower. I need to get my antenna higher to get over the trees and small hills. There is a tower available to me that is around 30 foot. I may put that up and then extend it to 60 foot or so. If anyone has a tower laying around that they don't want anymore, and would like to give away...Let me know! I still need to find out if there are any height restrictions for a 100 foot tower here in this area...Or maybe I should just put it up and see if anything happens. ;-)

What a crazy day. The power went out at around 1pm and stayed out for about 12 hours. It just came back on and I just got my servers back up. It's hell living without internet... Wow.
I worked all night last night trying to get the signal in that area of town. I spent a few hours on the roof of the parts store trying to aim the antenna and get the signal. No luck. I drove around to a few other places with good line of sight. I did get a signal for a bit at one of the sites last night. It then got way to cold to do stuff. I am guessing that I'm going to have to build a taller tower at my end to get over the trees. I'm sure its the trees that is causing the problem. I just can't get high enough.
The new repeater survived the night in the freezing cold. Its still tick'n. I think its solid. I will have a few more days to test it before I install it on the roof of the parts store. Today I will get the new UPS for it. Can't have a power-outage kill the internet...eh. I'm going to go over sometime today to do a test check. Hopefully I can get a strong signal through/over the trees.
Well, I decided to let c0de.net fade away. I no longer use the domain name for anything other than catching spam. I just don't feel like paying for it any more. So off it goes. There may be a few things that get messed up on the way. Anyone using it for email, please switch to mail.kenoyer.com.
Is there anyone that has a 150 foot tower that they want to give away?
Wow, I'm lagging on my updates.
I figured out how to build my wireless repeater using a Linksys WET11 and WAP11. Right now I'm looking for a box to put them in for the remote setup. It will be mounted to a 8ft mast on top of a roof. It will have one omnidirectional antenna and one parabolic antenna. Hopefully it will work out well. I really need to get this thing going. There is money to be made and T1's to be installed.
Well, I'm back from Thanksgiving. Wow, that was a lot of food. I don't think I'll need to eat anything for a month. It was really fun. Even got to play UT2003 network death match. Seems that everyone is doing really well. Jane even sold a bunch of her Lady Jane's boots.
I dropped the prices of my WISP signup. I decided that I should get the Frame-T1. That way I can get my T1 quicker and get more people signed up with a better price. I figure that by Jan. 1st I should be at full speed. I hope by June that I will have my target of 100 users.
Well, its almost time for Thanksgiving vacation. Turkey, family, the works. It will be nice to get out of the house for a few days. Take a break from work and all. Relax and just let things fade.
Happy Thanksgiving!
