Msg:#983 of 1363Date:2005-03-20Subj:Ringworm Sucks.
So I just found out that I have Ringworm. I guess I probably got it from a customer or customer's dog. From what I've read about it, it's very contagious. Anyway, it's easy to fix. Just buy some cream and apply it until it goes away. The problem is that everyone that I've touched in the past 6 month could possible have it now. Also anything that I've touched and then someone else touches may get it. It will stay on surfaces for over a year if they aren't cleaned with disinfectant cleaners.
So if you've been around me in the past 6 months and notice a small red ring growing on your skin somewhere, then you better get some cream. It's probably not too bad because I wash my hands a lot so I don't get my keyboard dirty.
Stupid funguses.

Another breakthrough on the pad. I enabled "smooth scroll" in the system preferences and now scrolling is awesome. It was jerky and skipped many lines at once before. Now it's smooth and easy to control.

Msg:#981 of 1363Date:2005-03-20Subj:iGesture, The Second Day
I'm starting to get used to the iGesture pad. The main problem that I have been having is now solved. The high amounts of static electricity around here was causing it to act erratic. Also my florescent lights, cellphone, and wireless networking could have been part of it. After learning about the reset (full hand down on the pad for a sec) I was able to fix it when it started going crazy. Now
I'm learning to gesture with it. Web surfing is kinda cool. I can go back, forward, scroll the page up and down, close windows, open windows, and the normal pointing, selecting, dragging, and pasting. So I'm learning it.
Next thing to do is get an anti-static mat or something. Maybe I should upgrade my desk to a metal desk and then ground the desk to the outlet. I'll have to do something. This is not the first thing in the house to be effected by static.
Anyway. I think I'll go to bed now. I have to work tomorrow.

Msg:#980 of 1363Date:2005-03-19Subj:I Received My iGesture Today
Well, today I received my new iGesture from FingerWorks. It's cool. I'm still getting used to it though. Sometimes it will just go crazy or just not work. I think I'm holding my fingers wrong on it. I'll figure it out soon.
But the thing is kinda cool. I can open and close windows real easy. I can scroll up and down easy too. Clicking and Dragging are still a problem, but I'll figure it out in no time.
Anyway, I'm going to go to bed. I'm sooper tired. (super spelled wrong on purpose.)

Msg:#979 of 1363Date:2005-03-19Subj:My Omniweb Wish List
Here is my Omniweb wish List:
1) Switch to Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine.
Why? Because it's 100 times better than kHTML/WebCore. It renders way faster, has more support, and just works better.
Why did Omniweb choose WebCore anyway? I don't know. I've been using Camino again to test some stuff out. I'm finding that it's so much faster and less buggy than OW. I don't know how I can handle OW's slowness any more.
I don't know what to do about it. OW has excellent features. Top notch support. Site Preferences for those sites that have really messed up support and font sizes. Thumbnail bar. It's just insane not to use OW for web browsing.
Hopefully OW will speed up in the next few months.

Msg:#978 of 1363Date:2005-03-17Subj:Ping is Really Coming Back!
So it ends up that Jane was not allergic to Ping at all. It was some new makeup that she bought at around the same time as we got Ping. When she puts it on her eyes get all puffy.
So! I get my doggy back. Because Ping is my doggy.

Msg:#977 of 1363Date:2005-03-16Subj:Ping Is Coming Back!
Ping is one her way back to us. Sam was allergic to her after all. Her hands were not clearing up. So back she comes.
I'm happy, but Jane isn't. She will be staying at Jane's parents house because Jane is very, very allergic to her.
Jane's eyes started swelling up just the other day after taking Pings collar back to the store. So, I'm thinking that maybe it's the store that she is allergic to and not Ping. But, wishful thinking you know. It would be nice to get to keep her, so I'm crossing my fingers that Jane is not allergic to Ping and it was something else that she is allergic to.
Anyway... back to work.

Msg:#976 of 1363Date:2005-03-15Subj:Finally Tired of PHP
I can't wait to finish this PHP project that I'm working on. I want to try my hand at some Objective C programming in Mac OS. I'm thinking of writing some interface programs to Webentory that run on the Mac. I wouldn't mind even writing a inventory and web site management tool for the Mac that interfaces with the systems on Webentory. That would rock. Maybe even move the admin systems off the web and into a desktop application.
But, anyway... I just need to finish things first. ;-)

We had a great time wheeling yesterday. Found some new stuff on the Pony Express Trail to wheel. There is a bunch of clay/mud hills out there. I packed up my video camera and put it by the door so I wouldn't forget it, but I forgot it. So no video. I wish I had some because there where a few spots that would have been cool to watch again. I can't wait for summer to get here, and my rock crawler to be running. I'm going to have to make a movie then.
Randy is here this weekend. So that's cool. Randy and Johnny were in the Jeep and my dad and I were in the Samurai. We drove around for hours.
Anyway, now it's sunday already and I have to get back to work and stuff. I have to meet the deadlines and all. Work work work work.

Welp, I did another all nighter. I was trying to populate the new database with the old data, but it's taking forever, and ever. There is a bit over 12,000 records plus a whole lot of photo's to copy down from the server. I was hoping to finish the import before I had to ship the hard drives off today. But...
I guess I'll just copy over what I have right now and do the rest when it's online.
