In other news, HMO4CARS is dead in the water. Nothing has happened for weeks. I'm going to a meeting with them tonight, but I dont know what is going to happen.

Automallcity V2 (webentory) is a mess. All the pieces are all laying about here and there. I need to integrate it all together. I've got a lot of c0de to work out. Lots of c0de to debug and make shippable. Its all good stuff too. Advanced PHP programming. Lots of stuff not done before. Very dynamic. If this does not take me to the big time, then piss on it. I'll just ride my bike and think happy thoughts.

Speaking about bikes... I've been learning lots of new stuff on my bike. I've got 180's down, I think... I've been going bigger, not that I want to though, and I've been learning better balance. I like to ride my bike. Latest trick: 180 up a curb to fakey u-turn to 180 off.

Maybe someday I will get my DSL so you all an read this.

Here I am, another week gone by, and still no DSL. This just sucks. I've got access with a 28.8 modem. Do you guys know how much modems suck!

July 7th, I will get PacBell to install the DSL line to the phone box, then I have to wait for the DSL hardware and guy to install it.

BMX has been fun here though. Sac does have a bunch of good spots. I'm going on a street ride tonight. We are going to go downtown and ride. There is a few things that I like down there.

Welp, I've been working very hard on things. The HMO4CARS.com site is finished. Well, the front end is finished. I'm working on the backend now. Lots of things still to do. I've started working on V2 automallcity.com again also. This week I'm going to work on the and try to finish it up. Lots to do on that as well. If I can get the basic stuff done, then we can go looking for funding. There is prolly lots of large companies that would fund the project.

I've been learning a lot on my bike lately. I've got 180's down. 180's off speedbumps are very fun. I've been doing them down stairs as well. I've been riding just about every day. I like to ride. But my hands hurt a lot. heh.

DSL is a headache. I've never known that its so hard to deal with phone companies. They suck. Cable modem was very easy to install. Call them up and they come out and hook you up. It only take like a week. Phone co's... Were talking 30 to 40 days till they even think about hooking you up, and it take a week on top of that. I wish I could get cable here. I really wish I could. I should call again and check one more time. heh.

Well, today I ordered DSL from Concentric Networks. $89 a month for 1.5m/384k, $200 setup. Now I just have to wait for another month to get it setup. I hate waiting. I DNSed all my domains to databoost, and I hope that someday I'll be back online. This just totally sucks.

Well, I talked with PacBell again, and now I can get DSL, they just have to install more switches at the central co. I checked online today and it now tells me that I can get DSL in my area. Before it did not say that. So, should be soon, and I'll be back online.

AGGGHH! Now PacBell is telling me that I can't get DSL in my area! I'm hoping that its a mistake, and I was supposta get a call from them today. Well, its 17:00 and no phone call. Dammit. This sucks. I want my high speed access!

PacBell is really going slow about getting my DSL in. I'm right across the street from PacBell and still it takes two weeks to get connected. Not only that, but I can't even get the high speed DSL because the PacBell center here does not have enough bandwidth. That just really makes me mad. I was hopping to get the same speed that I had with cable, but now looks like I'm going to be slower. No sir, I dont like it.

c0de.net and its vhosts will be going down today about 3pm. This includes the c0de.net mail server. I will not be able to get email until I get my DSL connection in Sacramento. I will try to get the connection asap.

I see news all the time about Micro$oft and the like making their own standards and not playing fair with others. I see this new and everyone is mad at them for some reason or another. There is always people trying to force them to open specs and change code to work the way they want it to work. The companies have their copyrights, licenses, and patents. Let them have them. Let their lawers fight over each other. Who needs them?

I think that the we as a community should write our own software. We should make our own video and audio encoding. We should write our own database systems, word processors, spreadsheets, and desktop software. We should support hardware that we want to support. Linux is one way of doing this. Why get mad at the other guy, just get even with Linux. When all is said and done, in the end we will be ahead. We will have stuff we want. Nobody can take away our rights to have free software.
