Well, I've got one week to finish Webentory. Fun stuff. I've got a lot of good concepts in it. It works real fast also. Things are starting to look good now. We have a few big clients looking at us. Maybe a lot of money will come our way soon.

Jane's has a new journal online now at her personal site. Jane is cool. She is starting her work on her large 8'x4' painting. Also one of her new skateboard parks is being started. That is really great for her.

I've finally got Galeon running on my system. It r00lz. I like it much better than Netscape. It works real well. No crashing, and its fast, clean and easy to use.

Well, I've got to get back to work. One more week, and I'll be done with v2!

Tonight I re-wrote my session handling system. I had before wrote it to use a MySQL database to store the session vars. This was slow when I had a lot of hits. Also the session code that I did before was not really that great. There was a lot of stuff that I could do better. Now I have finished my new code. It writes to session files in a directory on the server instead of the database. This is a way faster way of doing it. It already shows speed improvements. I have not tested fully yet, but so far the new Webentory system is working great. This is a great move forward to my code being high quality professional code.

There has been a rather large scare on the net lately about hackers hacking into Unix boxes getting ready for a massive DoS attack. The way they get in is using wu-FTP and NFS. I had NFS running on c0de.net so that I could do my work from my workstation. So that sucks. I removed NFS (I knew that the security was bad on it anyway) today. I'm using Samba (its not much better) now. I had Samba running already, so I might as well using on my workstation also. I have it firewalled off, so no e-leet Hack Ors can "hack" me. Also on my company web server we have wu-FTP running. I'm going to have to replace that very soon. I don't like FTP myself (openssh only here) but I have to have it for people to update their web sites. I have to figure out another way to do that one.

Well, not much to say right now. I'm still working very hard. Lots of things. I'm working on getting V2 up and running now.

Ahh, I've got my new desk all setup now. It is so much better than the desk that I have been using for the last 5 years. Lots bigger and smoother than the shelf of old. I have Jane setup next to me on the next also, that makes thing more easy also. I can talk and look at stuff without having to walk across the room. She can be next to me, like she likes to be. She is sweet. I like Jane.

Barspin.com is in the middle of the top 100 now. That is a really good thing. I'm glad to see it climbing to the top. The content needs some work, but hey, its a great site.

Well, thats about it for now.

I had a great day yesterday. We went up the hill to Jane's parents house. It was great, we went up shooting with like 9 or so family members. We had a blast..getit..blast... When we got back from that, we ate a great dinner and I had lots of fun playing video games. It was a great day.

Jane has moved around the living room today. She moved her desk out from the corner, put in her new drafting table, and I'm prolly getting the desk for my area. Its a real nice big desk also. Then I'm going to put her computer on the desk next to mine. That will be fun.

I also need to pull my system off the rack and fix the floppy drive and put the video capture card back in. That going to be a job. Too heavy to hold in one hand and unscrew with the other.

Things are busy on the business front. I'm working on the IVR part of the HMO4Cars site. IVR is the Phone system that interfaces with the database. Things are really looking good right now. Most of the stuff is done on the programming part. There are a few things left to do on the accounting system and reporting/log system.

Plumbrite is next. I need to knock that out real quick. I never got the spec from Votch about the CC interface. We dumped the idea of integrated UPS stuff. Anyway, I will spec it up again, and build it, then ship it. I should do that today. I need the money.

Anyone know when this was?
