Wow! I'm back from Thanksgiving with the family. It was real fun. We ate and watched movies and talked and played videogames. I got stuffed three or four times. It was all great fun.

The first day we had fun with videogames. On the next day was the turkey and the stuffing. We watched movies and had fun. The next day we went out the the theater and watched the Grinch and Unbreakable.

I'll tell you that Unbreakable was really bad. I did not like it at all. It was nothing like what I expected, and it was very, very slow. After the movie we sang songs and ate and watched more movies. The next day we ate more turkey and played more video games. We watched BattleBots all day and took pictures of eachother.

It was all great fun. I love them all.

Well, it looks like its time to go out and find a real job. I'm always telling people that they should think of themselfs when it comes to business and not to get screwed. Well, I've been working for almost 2 years for nothing. I've put in a lot of time and a lot of trouble and I'm getting nothing back. What a bad deal. I'm going out to find a real job, with a real paycheck. Right now I'm so far behind that it will take a few months of paychecks to catch up. I'm almost 10k in the hole right now. Jane is going crazy over it. I'm worried about her helth.

I've send mail to all the guys at CDC and CCS management telling them that I will be taking another job. I'm just tired of all the crap that I've been dealing with over the past few years. Its really bad for me. I have also sent a mail to Nicheware asking if they had anything. I hope they do, because they are close.

I may have to do some consulting or something. I hope it does not go that way. I dont like consulting because its about the same as what I'm doing now. I dont like hagling and fighting.

Anyway, thats what I'm doing now.

I didn't do anything today. I didn't work. I didn't play. I just sat here all day and did nothing. Wow. I need to figure out a way to get my brain working again. I'm fried. I don't know what I'm going to do. I have a lot of work to do, but I don't have the will to finish it. I just look at stuff and veg out. Sunday I'm going to take a break and go up to the hills. I need the rest from work, I guess. And right now its almost 3am and I just can't sleep. I went to bed at 10pm, got up about 1am for a few minutes, went back to bed. About 2:30 I got up again. I just lay in bed, and I can't sleep. This is bad.

I need to work on things. I need to get my gift registry going before christmas. I need to get Built2Grind going very soon. I need to get Dinnerbot up and running. I just don't have the time for stuff like that. This is really getting bad. I need to make a new schedule.

Ok, public journal is back online. I have added a private flag for stuff that I'm told not to show on my public side. Company stuff, you know, when your company starts getting bigger and corp type's start looking at it stuff.... Well, I had too much company info in my public journal, and was told to remove it. I need to stop talking about work so much in my public journal anyway. Geesh, its gunna get me in trouble some day. So now I have a nice little public/private option on my entry screen.

The maintenance guy came out today to look at the tank on the toilet. We had though that there was black mold in it. Turns out that it was just the rubber from the flapper at the bottom that lets the water out. I guess it was eroding away in the tank, and black particles of it were sticking all over the tank. Anyway, he replaced it, and I guess that should solve that problem.

I've been working on things all day long. Data conversion and stuff. I've been doing some functions to make things easier for output and stuff. I'm working on a project that involves a bar code scanner. Now this is a cool thing. I've been scanning everything with it. I need to figure out what else I can do with it.

Back to work with it then...

Hmm.

That didn't work so well. Still working for CDC. I guess we are going to give it one last chance. Like I have not heard that before. Seems like I'm always hearing that. They always say that they will do something. But, nothing gets done. Blaa. I'm sick of it. I'm really sick of it. The problem is, I'm a nice guy, and nice guys always finish last. It really sucks, because I don't want to be the nice guy. I should have just walked out last night. I should have called up Nicheware and asked if they were still looking for someone to do PHP stuff. I should have, but didn't.

I will learn one day. When I'm old and grey. When I can't do anything about it. That will be the day I learn to be an asshole. One that can get things done, and not worry about steping on the little guy.

In other news, I'm still working my ass off for no money.

Welp, last night I did it. I backed up Jane's computer and formated it. Re-Installed all her software. Re-Setup all her programs. Re-Stored all her data. BUT.... Forgot to backup her email. ARRGG! I can't believe that I forgot her mail! Jane already hates reinstalling. She absolutely hates MS Windows. Every few months she has to reinstall everything, because it gets real unstable. She is always worried about loosing her data. Welp, she lost her email again. This is not the first time. Its not the first time she has lost other things on her system also. I want her to use Linux, but she does a lot of Artwork, Picture, Printing and Flash stuff. A lot of the stuff that she does, has not applications on Linux. I think that she should just use Linux anyway, because she whould never loose her stuff. She would not have to worry about things as much. So she can't use Flash, but the more people that don't use a product because it is not supported on their platform, then the quicker that product will be supported. I think that if tomorrow everyone removed MS Windows and started using other things, then the Application market will wake up and realize that MS is crap.

Welp, its time to vote today. I sure would like to see Harry Browne become prez, but the way it look is that everyone thinks there is only two people running. Bush or Gore. Two guys that think we should have no rights. Two guys that think freedom is for the rich. Blaa.

I have a feeling that its time to move out of the USA, before my way of thinking is illeagal, before freedom is illeagal.

Welp, I've got to go vote!

Its getting real close now. HMO4CARS is online, the new code is being used. I just need to make a few changes to the backend, and add some more functions to my API. I have a few more things to do on the admin screens, then we are in full production. It will be great to start getting a paycheck...

I wrote a short script to find all the function names in the PHP manual and link source code to them for easy reference. That was fun. Took about 10 minutes of my time. You can see it at http://rtfm.c0de.net. I'm really getting good at PHP. I think that I need to up my pay.

One thing that I would like to do though is get better at design. I have noticed that I leave out big chunks when I'm going over design. I just have to sit down with the customer/client and go over the whole business flow first. Then get all the outside data together and spec'd out. Then start work on design of the app that I'm doing. It gets hard when I start a program and then things change on me and I have to re-design on the fly.

Long days are here, but the holidays are coming and that will be a nice rest from work. I can't wait.

Welp... Here it is. My new home page. I did about 10 minutes of work on it. I was just getting sick of the old page, and I really needed to put something new up. I had greenbar printer paper for the journal, but that was just way to hard to read. I'm still messing with the images, so things might be changing.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of when Jane and I met. Two years ago I went to the Modesto skateboard park with a friend to wreck the place, and then I met my wife. She was there for the same reason. She was skating real good and tearing the place up. When she stopped for a break, I went over to her and started talking. She had tweaked her ankle a bit and was letting it chill out, so I invited her over to the pizza place. That was it... We made history. A short time later we were on our honeymoon. Wow...

Things have been real busy since the days of hanging out and skateboarding every weekend. We had a lot of fun. Soon I will be finished with what I'm doing now, so that we get some more time to do things like we did two years ago. We had a lot of fun. I miss the days back then. I can't wait for the days to come.
