Jane is off to Nevada. I just dropped her and Randy off this morning. I'll meet them in Nevada on Friday night. Then time for fun. I have a few things to finish up on Webentory before I leave, that is why I'm here and not there.

I can't wait to move up there. Its so nice there. Real quiet and all that. I never thought that I would like to move out of the city, but I really do want to get out of the city. I'm just really getting sick of all the lame people that live in cities. Most of all I'm sick of the stupid CA laws that stop you from doing anything fun.

The show last night was great! Lots and lots of people came. The news paper was there to take pictures of Jane and her work. Everyone was impressed. It was a really good show.

After the show we all went to Mel's dinner. I stuffed myself, because I didn't eat all day. Good food there. We had a party of over 20 people. After dinner we talked out front of the dinner and fooled around.

Jane's parents spent the night here, and it was fun. We watched movies till very late at night.

Now everyone has left and things are quiet again. Time for me to get back to work. It was a great few days. Lots of fun.

We moved all Jane's artwork to the library today. Its all hung on the walls and ready to go. Tomorrow will be the big day. The show will start at about 6:30 or so. I hope that things go very well for Jane. She has been getting everything ready for this day for months. If you dont know what I'm talking about, check out TheJane.com .

I went to the skateboard park today. First time in a long time. Had a lot of fun... I think... I even crashed real good on the rail.

I'm super tired now, so I guess I will go to bed.

Well, I've been sick all day. Not the cold/flu kind of sick. Headache and stomachache all day. Kinda grumpy and out of it. I think all the work I've been doing lately is getting to me. I've done a lot in the past two weeks. I have a full day tomorrow also. Lots of things to do.

I'm driving Jane's paintings to her show tomorrow. We got a truck and I'm going down to U-Haul to get a trailer. That should only take half the day. Not too bad.

I spent today tweaking my server. Installed Apache+PHP from the Debian packages. Got that all configured. I'm going to try to get the DNS working right later. I need to have a inside and a outside DNS, because my router has sucky NAT. If it was not for the PPPoA that my ISP uses, I would ditch my router and setup my webserver to route. I hate that router.

I want to move to NV and site in the desert an do nothing.

Welp, I just read the news and we are bombing Afgan. So Jane is watching the news right now. All I hear is "blaa blaa bla blaa blaaaa bla..." I wonder when we will be the United States of the World?

I redid c0de.net's page yesterday. I was sick of the corporate look. Now its more of a hacker look, and it displays a random C file from the Linux kernel source. Its kinda cool. I may do something with it later. I'm not sure. I think I have too many domains. I think I need to drop a few. I dont think I'll ever do anything with dinnerbot.com and built2grind.com. I just dont have time to build them.

I put a face lift on Kenoyer.com the other day too. I changed up the colors a bit. Its all the same, just the colors are different. I may play with it a bit more.

Well, I need to do a bit more on Webentory, so off to work I go.

Well, the new version of Webentory (0.9.1) is online. I was up till 4am this morning doing it. Lots of things to fix, data to port over, systems to check, and bugs to squish. Now its up and online. Still a few things to fix but the multiple inventories are working. Rob should be really happy with it. I do have to finish the photo editor tonight still. Should not be too hard.

Next I need to do the export engine with export modules. Data needs to have export modules to different sites like AutoTrader, Cars.com, Yahoo, and Hemmings. That will be cool when done.

Used cars are to be ported to the new system now also. I need to add a new database table for used inventory and then, up it goes.

In other news...

Jane is getting paid today for a painting she sold a month ago. Woo woo! A nice chuck of cash to the CC to get them down in size. Pay off a few things. Nice. Now if she can sell the rest of her paintings, then we will be home free and live'n large.

I have found that skateboarding is really killing me. My legs and wrists are hurting all the time. I have been having foot problems also. I think that I'm going to stick to my bike for the rest of the year and see what happens. I guess I'm just getting too old for it now.

I got a lot done today. Still have to do a bit more before the release. The system is getting better and better each day. Rob is really happy with it. The dealers are really happy with it also. Things are looking really good.

I may have found a graphics guy for CDC. I had him do a test graphic and both Rob and I liked it. I need to get with Rob and get this guy setup so we can get some work done. I like his style.

Jane is still waiting to be paid for the painting she did last month. They are lagging on that. She is kinda getting stresed about it. It will come soon. Jane's show is coming up soon also. Oct. 10th. She has all her work done and ready for it. Its going to be really good. Everyone is going to be there.

Well, I need a shower, so I'm out of here.

Jane is back from girls weekend. Its nice to have her back. She had lots of fun and stuff. This time she was at the beach for her weekend. She really likes the beach. Surfer girl.

I've been really busy the last few days too. I've got another milestone build for Webentory ready to upload to the server. Also, I'm back on FreeBSD and that was not easy switch.

Other than that, I've had a quiet weekend.

What a sucky few days. My Debian install got messed up on wed. night, and the master Debian server went down at the same time. I could not update my system, and the update I did was broke. Worse, I could not do my work because my browser and my editor were both busted.

I switched over to my fBSD install and finished some work. Then I though it would be a good idea to upgrade my fBSD to the latest stable release. HA! Two days later and still tring to get the bugs out.. I finally got 4.4-stable installed and up and running.

And! I've got VIM6 installed! Cool.

I had another great time in Nevada Mon-Tue. It is really nice out there. Very quiet. I really like it, and I can't wait to move there. I am working on getting some land. We found some really nice spots too.

Other things are going well. Things are moving along slowly for CDC. Webentory is being used, and people like it. I'm still adding features and fixing bugs. I have a few more big ticket items to add, then we can kick back and chill for a while.

Jane's show is coming up soon. She has Portofino out at the photographer right now. She is a bit stressed out, but not at all like before with skate parks. She is really happy to be painting. I really like it when she paints. She has fun doing it.

That new worm going around is really pissing me off. My apache logs were up to 160mb. Mostly because of all the hits it was generating. I setup some ipchains rules that drops anything coming from their IP addresses. That fixes my logs, but not my bandwidth. The net is slow right now.

Anyway.. I'm going to bed.
