The El Diablo Run is scheduled for this year. I’m totally excited to go. And I really need to get my bike dialed in before I do. LOL That means I need to get cracking on getting it rebuilt. I’ve been procrastinating it for a few weeks now but it’s been really cold outside. I think I’ll get my coveralls tonight/tomorrow and head out there and start working on it. It’s time.

Monday, May 15: Split lanes and take names all the way home

I haven't been to the Gym since Monday morning. And that was only a half a workout. On top of that I've been eating poorly. Ate a whole bag of Nutter Butters today. Didn't eat anything else really.

So my quest to find a new Gym is on for this weekend. By Monday I'll be working out again.

Really wish I could find some friends to go to the gym with so I can maybe get some pointers from them. I don't know of anyone regularly going now. Wish Joy was still training me. She is an amazing gym partner. She could really push me and it was wonderful. That's all gone now and I have to just move on.

What I really need to concentrate on now is making more money so I can just hire a gym coach and get what I need. Money is the key to everything. Without it you have nothing. So more work and less play. I have access to a treadmill for now and when it gets warmer outside I can ride my bike and skateboard more. But I really want to get back to lifting. Gotta get these arms bigger. Maybe I'll just hit up 24hr Fitness.

Tonight is Command-N at Reno Collective. They are getting setup for it and it starts at 5:30 tonight!

Formerly known as Pixels of Fury, nine designers compete mano a mano in three 18-minute rounds in this design duel of epic proportions. Each team/competitor furiously conceives and creates original posters in each round as specified in a double top-secret creative brief revealed live before each round.

Looks like a fun event to spectate at.

Hung out with Lisa Kurt and a few members of Reno Collective today to see Lisa’s latest show Somewhere in the Desert There’s a Forest.

Lisa does amazing work. I loved all of the illustrations/paintings in the gallery space today. I only wish I could afford to purchase a piece from her. It was also great talking to Lisa and hearing about her art process. I haven’t spoken with her in years. She seems to be doing really well.

So I need to find another gym and hopefully someone to workout with. I have a very hard time working out by myself. I need someone who knows what they are doing and can push me to get better. Watching YouTube's to figure out how to lift weights is just not working out so well. I need a trainer but I can't afford to pay someone now. I also don't want to lose any momentum that I've already built up.

Is there anyone I know that knows how to lift and would like a gym partner?

Had a meltdown today. Got help from a good friend though. Worked out some issues. Realized some things. Trying to spin it positive. Sucks having the feels.

Going to bed so I can hit the gym first thing in the morning.

This watch was on Kickstarter and could have been purchased for under $150. It’s now $300 and I missed my opportunity to fund it. All well. I’ll pick it up later at full price when I start getting back to work full-time.

This Undone wrist watch is really nice. It even has a clear back to see the movement inside. My only wish is that it has a Day Date complication. I think I would like that more than the chrono.

The Killy face version is really cool and vintage. Here I have the Portu face that is less busy. I might have to buy two because I love both designs. I think this black design and then the lighter color design. At $300 each it’s still a great deal for a really nice watch.

They have a customizer feature on their website that allows you to configure the watch to your tastes. That’s what I used to build this photo. But with choices comes hard decisions. Well, maybe in April when they start shipping I will be able to afford one. We will see.

I'm still reading the NOFX book. Yeah, I read slow. I've been doing a bit more work, so that's good. Working on some ORS stuff too. Hope I can generate monthly revenue from it and not have to find work all the time. Freelance isn't a fun way to go as a programmer.

I'm excited to get back to work on my Chopper and get it all dialed in. I talked with a friend yesterday about all the camping trips we want to take this summer on our choppers. Should be pretty fun.

I'm still trying to sell my Nexus 5X. I put it on Craig's List for Reno. I've had a lot of texts about it. Mostly just spam/phishers and people who want to lowball me on the price. None of them have been local buyers. I guess I'll put it on eBay.

I'm still going to the Gym almost every day. I also have access to the treadmill at the place I'm staying. So I can do my cardio at home instead of driving across town to where my Gym in. I'm looking forward to moving into my apartment on the south side of town. But if I can rent Soo's condo downtown I'll probably do that. It's pretty nice.

I'm working on a PHP site. Yeah, I know, PHP. I'll probably rewrite the whole thing in Ruby on Rails.... If I can. LOL

Moved my chopper over to Tony’s new house to start tearing it down and rebuilding it.

I’m going to have the frame re-power coated black chrome. Then I’m going to chrome some of the parts like the bars and sissybar. Next I’m going to repaint the tank and fender so they look way cooler. Bare metal with black skulls on it. It will be bad ass.

Then when that’s all done I’m going to put it all back together using rubber mounts and leather pushing so it doesn’t vibrate everything apart so bad. Going to up the front sprocket to like a 25 or 30 tooth. That will keep the RPM’s down and the vibrations low. Can’t wait to get back on the road with it.

I pass this car almost daily as I leave the neighborhood. I love this car. I want this car so bad. It just sits there and never moves. I don’t know if it runs or if it’s for sale or anything. Someday I’ll stop and ask about it.
