I've changed my home page again. The motif is 80's style BBS. I was reading something about old BBS's and though that I would change my home page to be like one of the old systems. Its fun to think about the stuff back then. I'm thinking about setting up a telnet BBS to play around with, but no time right now to do it. Well, have fun with the new site.

Its been a very busy weekend. I've been programming all weekend long. The new automallcity is going to be really good. I've got all kinds of plans for it. We have a new look for the details page and working on the list page as well. Lots of work ahead.

Jane got her new site up. Its looking real good as well. I think its the best site I've seen in a long time. She has flash and art and PHP script and database and ... well, you should just look at it. www.thejane.com or jane.kenoyer.com. Best art sites on the net.

Two words for today. Flash Rocks. I know I dont have any flash on my site, but hey there is no flash writer for Linux yet. Karl is a flash expert, and Jane is getting real good at it. Flash is the new thing right now. If you dont have flash on your site, then you site is just old. By the way, if you need custom flash, then email karl@kenoyer.com and get yourself some.

Anybody out there remember this:

Ok! I'm going to start programming V2 of automallcity starting this weekend. I've got a few specs to work out and a few details to take care of, but for the most part, I can start the first layer of c0de. I have a system that I'm going to setup to run this stuff. I need to transfer all the clients over to the new dev system and then I'll be on my way. The next version is going to run on the new Debian v2.2 (Potato). I'm going to setup a graphics server to do the graphics and a script to copy the html to one system and the graphics to another system. I'm thinking about installing some load sharing software like what Linux.com uses for their servers. I'm expecting lots of hits on this system. I want it to be as fast as it can be.

Welp, the new dealeradmin is finished I think. Maybe a few bugs left to squish that I have not seen yet. I figure I'll put it online tomorrow sometime. Prolly about noon or so. Lots of work still to do tomorrow on other things.

I got my video capture drivers working again. I've had my webcam up today. Well... its still up heh. I need to get my mpeg encoder to work again though. It was working great, then I upgraded. heh. If its working, dont fix it.

I watched Pirates of Silicon Valley again today. I've seen it about 20 times now. I started on Triumph of the Nerds again, but had to do some patches for the dealer admin.

Karl has both of his systems here now. A W2K box and a GNU box. He does his graphics and flash on the W2K box and network stuff on his GNU box. I got a great idea for something. I'm going to start a flash ad server. It will serve flash banner ads. I'm going to get Karl to do some banner adds for the automallcity stuff, and then I'll prototype it.

Welp, its bed time for me. I need to start getting up earlier. Sleeping til noon and staying up till 2,3,4am is not working out too well. G'night all.
