I'm up! I've been up and running for the past (almost) 24 hours. I dont think I slept much in that 24 hours as well. I've been up online downloading, uploading, and programming. I dont have everything setup yet. There is a lot of things that are still broke. I have half my domains moved to another server. Its all crazy.

I've got a ton of work to do, so I'll have to get that other stuff done later. Gots to pay the rent.

I got my new DSL Router today from rcsis.com. Its cool. I dont think I need a router though. It does have a bridge option. I could just set it to bridge I think. My DSL does not go live til saturday though. So I'll wait until that goes up and then I'll setup stuff.

Using a modem really sucks. I should have got rcsis setup a few weeks back. Welp, I've got some more work to do. Lots of things on my plate to finish.

Late.

Welp... I'm done with Nicheware. They let me go on friday. I guess it just didn't work out. It was a very nice place to work for. I learned a whole bunch.

Oh, and by the way. At the same time I was let go from Nichware, my DSL provider went chapter 7. I've been offline now for about 5 days. I will get my new DSL from Roseville in about 5 days. 10 days offline is a killer. I wish that I switched a month ago when I was getting ready to. I though, "Reflex just upgraded, so I'll see what its like now." Bahh.

Now, I guess, I have more time for AMC work. I've started my development back up on V2 (Webentory). Its going really good. I'm working on some really good layouts for the admin screens. I need to do this stuff as fast as I can. Things need to get done in weeks, not months. I need to start making money with this stuff.

Jane's parents are getting ready to move to Nevada. They have found some really good deals. 20 acers for 15k. Stuff like that. I think that it would be really great to have 20 acers in NV. I would love to move out there with them also.... If I could figure out how to get a Net connection, and how to make money. I guess I'll see what happens with AMC in the next few months. If things look the same, I'll move... If things are doing really great, I'll move. If things are just a bit better, but not much... well... I dont know.

Jane has been working on her large painting. Its getting a lot of paint on it. It looks like it will be done soon. I can't wait. Its going to be a really cool painting.

Time to get back to work....

Firewalls. I learned a lot about firewalls today. I have the nichewareinc.com firewall almost all setup now. What I did was install mason to find the rules that I needed. Then added the rules to the main config file. After that I setup some portforwarding rules to have webservers behind the firewall on private sub-net. It looks like its going to work really good. I am going to do a bit more testing on it tomorrow and make sure.

This should be really good for nichewareinc. I think it will be really good on my home computer also. Since the reflex routers do not drop private IP addresses. I can see everone on the net. Its crazy.

BMX... I've been really stoked to learn some new tricks on my bike lately. I want to learn gear stalls and stuff. I think I'm almost ready to do my first bunny hop bar spin. I can just feel it. I just know that I will land my first one. This summer I will learn. them.

I want to build a ramp also. Prolly a nice little quarter pipe with a sub box on it. That will be fun to learn stuff on. 8 feet wide, 4 feet high. and a sub box one foot high, 4x8, with steel coping. I want to be able to attach the sub box to the top of the quarter pipe, or take it off for a manual pad / grind box. It will be fun for skateboarding also.

First thing is to find a place to put it... hehheeh

Blue Man Group. I have got to see them again! They were excellent! Mind blowing. Non-Linear!

In other news:

Another day... Automallcity is on the virge of doing it or not doing it. It all hinges on Rob. Will he get the clients, or will he pack it in. We are all waiting on him now.

Things at Nicheware are going very good. I'm trying to finish up SITS this month. HIPPA is prolly right behind it. We are going to re-write A-Train in PHP/Postgres. That will improve things a lot. We have been doing benchmarks on Postgres, and its looking really good. I've got the dual Xeon in there running PHP/Apache/Postgres and its just cranking out the data sets. I like working at Nicheware.

Karl has been doing some really good work for AutoMallCity. He has cranked out some designs and they look really good. He is learning PHP right now, even got it installed on his home PC running in W2K. Cool!

Anyway, I'm out of here.

We are all booked and ready to fly out to Las Vegas for a night with The Blue Man Group. Its going to rock. I've heard so much about it! It sounds great! It our anniversary of being married, Jane and I. Last year I tweaked my ankle, and we were not able to go anywhere. I hope that this year I dont do it again. Vegas is going to be cool.

I've been working on a re-write of my HTML wrapper. My goal is to make it output pure HTML 4.01 strict. So far, its going very well. I am redoing thejane.com with my new wrapper. It passes the HTML 4.01 validator just fine, even when I have tag bugs in it.

All this work is for building the new AMC stuff. I want it to be perfect. I want AMC pages to strict HTML 4.01. The AMCv2 is going to be an immaculate, state of the art, web site.

I'm back from dinner with Jane. Wow... Christophe's French Restaurant. It was... Rich. We had smoked Salmon as part of our 5 course dinner. Yes... The food is very small on very big plates, but we got stuffed anyway. It was really good. I may even go back some time again.

Before dinner Jane and I went to the local skateboard park. I got a bit crazy and ollied a really big gap. Well, the dirt on the other side made me slip out and...lets just say, my knee hurts. I had fun anyhow. Don't tell Clark and Ray that I cut out of work early.. 8-)

Well, I'm really sleepy now, so I'm going to bed.

Nicheware Inc.'s new website was launched today. woo woo! Its a killer design, and it really stands out. I think that we did a really good job on it.

Now I'm going to go back to getting SITS up and running. I really need to get it finished soon. The end of next week I'll have it running.

Jane is home! Woowooowooo! I like Jane! (I was getting really hungry) She brought home a large bean-bag also. Its cool! And if we like it, we will get another one. Then it will be just like xeorx park. heheheh!

Ok, I need to get to work now....

Well, the blowdryer died today... I think... The network was trashed, and when we connected to another HUB then everything worked. I guess it was its time.

RIP, blowdryer

It was a loud one

In other news, I've almost got NSI's IP and DNS entries fixed. They still have my IP wrong, but my contact info, and DNS names/IP's are correct. Maybe another week or two.

I'm out.
